Spyware as many think is a virus that plagues the internet users, but actually it is computer software, that can stealthily monitor your computer and your internet use. In simple terms spyware can be defined as a program which helps to gather information about any particular user and forward it to others. Usually spywares get in a computer when you install a new program or through software virus.
As the name suggests this works just as a spy and keeps track of all your internet activities like surfing habits, sites visited and above all secretly monitors your personal information. If your computer gets infected with this virus it can even interfere with your controls and can also install additional software, redirect web browser activity and infect your computer with more viruses and above all divert advertising revenue to third party.
This can further damage your computer by changing your settings and can slow down your connection speed which results in opening of unfamiliar home pages, loss of internet and other important programs.
